CP Rail Supports Pediatrics

Pediatrics

Thanks to the generous support of organizations like CP Rail, we are able to help children in southern Saskatchewan live better lives by providing state of the art technology and care. Through its community investment program CP Has Heart, CP has donated $25,000 towards the purchase of an echocardiography machine for pediatric cardiology.

An echocardiography machine uses ultrasound to create images of the heart and measure the speed and direction of blood flow. Through these tests, a pediatric cardiologist gets critical information about the heart’s anatomy and function. Echocardiography is the most common test used on children to diagnose or rule out heart disease and to follow children who have already been diagnosed with a heart problem.

“The Foundation greatly appreciates CP Rail’s continued support in improving pediatric healthcare in Regina’s hospitals,” says Dino Sophocleous, President and CEO, Hospitals of Regina Foundation. “CP’s support will go a long way towards ensuring the children of southern Saskatchewan have the best technology available to them, when they need it.”
